AICRP on Forage crops and utilization has organized the TSP activities in Wayanad district with distribution of layer hen and fodder planting materials to Tribal women in Noolppuzha and Ambalavayal panchayath respectively. The official inauguration of the programme was done on 7.11.2022 at Malappura Kurumar tribal colony in Noolpuzha panchayath with supply of layer hen. The programme was inaugurated by Grama Panchayath Vice President Sri. Usman. Beneficiaries were identified by KVK,Wyanad and distributed 120-layer hen to 40 Tribal families.
Department of Agricultural Statistics and Computer Science, College of Agriculture Padannakkad, conducted a 6 day training programme on ‘Data Analysis using R’ During 03 Nov 2022 to 09 Nov 2022 for PG and PhD students. The Training was inaugurated by Dr.Mini P K, Dean College of Agriculture Padannakkad on 03 Nov 2022. Basics of R Programming and various Statistical Analysis(Descriptive Statistics, Exploratory Statistics, Measures of Association, Inductive Statistics, Design of Experiments)using R, were covered in the training.
Hon'ble Kanhangad MLA Sri. E. Chandrasekharan inaugurated the valedictory function of 15 days INM training programme for fertilizer dealers held at College of Agriculture Padannakkad on 28.10.2022. The programme was presided over by Municipal Councillor Smt. Sobha V.V. Certificate distribution was done by Hon. MLA to fertilizer dealers who have successfully completed the course on INM. Price distribution to the winners of College Arts competitions ‘Aattom 2022’ was also done by Hon'ble MLA. Dr. Mini. P. K, Dean, College of Agriculture, Padannakkad welcomed the guests.

Biocontrol agents were distributed under tribal sub-plan of AICRP on Nematodes, Vellayani, funded by ICAR, for the management of slow wilt disease in Pepper in Kannampady and Kizhakkanam tribal settlements at Upputhara panchayat in Idukki district on 22.10.2022 .
The XVth Annual Review Meeting of AICRP on Nematodes in Agriculture was organized and conducted at MPUAT, Udaipur on 15th and 16th September 2022. Booklet on 'Keralatthile vilakalile nimavirakal' prepared by Dr. Nisha. M.S, Assistant Professor, AICRP on Nematodes, was released by the Hon'ble ADG (PP&B) Dr. S.C. Dubey and Project Coordinator, Dr.Anil Sirohi during this function.
Dr.Nisha.M.S, Assistant Professor, AICRP on Nematodes, RARS (SZ), Vellayani along with entomologist Nafeesa, M., CRS Pampadumpara and Agricultural Officer, Upputhara KB visited the slow wilt affected areas in Upputhara panchayat of Idukki district. Combined infection of plant parasitic Nematodes, root mealy bugs, and fungal pathogens was observed in black pepper plants. Soil application of Farm yard manure enriched with Trichoderma and Purpureocillium was recommended.
The Karshaka Santhwanam team comprising of Dr. Santosh Kumar K.T., Dr. Susha S. Thara, Dr. Nisha M.S., made a field visit on 14-10-2022 to several farms in the Nedumangad Block of the Thiruvananthapuram district. The team provided training to farmers and also recommendations related to good farming practices and crop management.
