A seminar on "Publishing in Peer Reviewed and OPen Access Journals" was held at the Extension Seminar Hall, College of Agriculture, Vellayani, on 03-08-2023 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The introductory remarks were made by Dr. Roy Stephen, Dean of faculty, Faculty of Agriculture, College of Agriculture, Vellayani. Tips for writing research articles was given by Dr.
On 17-08-2023, the Associate Director of Research at RARS(SZ), Vellayani, coordinated an interactive workshop about journal publications for the College of Agriculture, Vellayani's scientists. Emphasizing the significance of the ORCiD account, he urged all scientists to join the ORCID platform. Additionally, insights into the use of the Journal Finder and KNimbus platforms were shared. This engaging session offered invaluable guidance for emerging scientists eager to disseminate their research.

One of the 100 days project of the Government of Kerala titled Horticultural therapy for the differently abled adolescents of Kasargod dist. was inaugurated by Honble Minister of Higher Education & Social Justice Dr. R. Bindhu on 19 th May 2023. The Department of Social Justice through Kerala Social Security Mission has made a continuation of the successful project which was implemented at the college of Agriculture , Vellayani with the goal of providing employment to differently-abled children of Kasargod District.

As apart of ICAR-TSP project of the College, trainings were conducted for the scheduled tribes people of Kasargod district. Two day trainings on bee keeping (Indian Bee) was conducted for 50 beneficiaries on December 23 onwards. Two Mushroom trainings were conducted for 50 beneficiaries from 7th January onwards. Another training for the tribal beneficiaries on Stingless Bee keeping was conducted on 19th, 21st of January for a total of 50 participants at Perla, Enmakaje Panchayath and at Bedakam Panchayath.
