College of Agriculture, Vellayani hosted an industrial meet for the final year B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture students as part of the Rural Awareness Work Experience Program, 2024. Experts from various sectors of the agricultural industry attended the inaugural ceremony of the Agro-Industrial Attachment module. Shri. S. Hari Kishore IAS, Managing Director, KSIDC and Director, Industries and Commerce Department officially inaugurated the ceremony. Under the presidency of Dr. Roy Stephen, Dean of Faculty, the program witnessed the participation of dignitaries from the Directorate of Industries and Commerce, the Directorate of Plantation, and APEDA. Eminent figures from successful startups and companies convened to share their insights and exchange ideas. The panel discussion with the entrepreneurs was moderated by Mrs. Smija P.K., Assistant Professor, Agricultural Extension, and Dr. Smitha S., Assistant Professor, Agricultural Extension, and Ms. Nejitha Saleena played the role of co-moderators. The discussions included an overall insight into their industries, the various novel possibilities, and the emerging challenges of entrepreneurship in the field of agriculture.
