Vellayani, 04-02-2024 – In a remarkable display of innovation and teamwork, the entrepreneurial team from the College of Agriculture (CoA), Vellayani, has clinched the title in the basic track at the prestigious national Entrepreneurship Challenge hosted by IIT Bombay.
This journey of perseverance began with over 4,000 competitors in the E-Cell fraternity, where the CoA team excelled in the initial round of concept discussions and pitching. Their innovative ideas not only set them apart but also earned them a direct pass to the esteemed ESummit, bypassing the second round traditionally focused on mathematical aptitude.
The semi-final round proved to be more challenging, narrowing down to 24 teams. Here, participants were tasked with planning a summit, complete with a detailed budget, guest invitations, funding sources, and the summit's purpose. Each team member showcased their expertise in concept development, design, financial management, and presentation skills.
The final hurdle saw the top 10 teams facing off in an intense round where different case studies were presented to them on the spot. The CoA team demonstrated exceptional skill in formulating a business concept aimed at turning these case studies into profitable ventures.
This victory is not just a testament to the team's entrepreneurial spirit but also a significant milestone in their journey of innovation and hard work. The CoA community and its supporters celebrate this outstanding achievement, eagerly anticipating the future successes of this talented group of young entrepreneurs.
