In observance of World Diabetes Day 2024, the Department of Community Science and the NSS unit of the College of Agriculture, Vellayani, joined hands with Dr. Rasheed's Diabetes Speciality Centre to organize a series of impactful events aimed at raising awareness and promoting health. The activities, held on November 14, 2024, included a medical camp, an interactive session, a quiz on diabetes, and a symbolic blue circle formation in the campus.
Dr. Rasheed led the interactive session, sharing invaluable insights on diabetes prevention, management, and the importance of early detection. The medical camp provided free check-ups, enabling participants to assess their health and receive personalized advice from medical professionals.
The quiz competition about diabetes, fostered awareness among students and staff. The highlight of the day was the formation of the blue circle, the global symbol of diabetes.
