In a remarkable achievement, a team from the Entrepreneurial Cell (ECell) of the College of Agriculture, Vellayani, has been awarded the second prize in the prestigious Youth Ideation Challenge 2023. The competition, which focused on the theme of Agrobiodiversity, was held on March 6, 2024, at the Kerala State Biodiversity Board headquarters in Trivandrum.
The winning team, led by Aashima Rahim (2019 IBC), comprised Ashir K (2019 IBC), Mohammed Nabin (B. Sc. 2021), P. Sreeraj (2022 B. Tech), and Joel Michael (2022 B. Sc.). They worked under the mentorship of Dr. Geetha Radhakrishnan, Assistant Professor at the College. Their innovative idea, “Solution for Increase of Shelf Life of Products,” stood out among numerous entries for its practicality and potential impact on agricultural practices and sustainability.
This accolade is a testament to the team’s dedication and the vibrant culture of innovation fostered at the College of Agriculture, Vellayani.
