The two-day event, held on January 18th and 19th, focused on 'Advanced Technologies and Innovative Practices for Climate-Smart Agriculture: Bridging Academia, Industry and Society'. The symposium featured various prominent speakers, including Dr. Swati Nayak from the International Rice Research Institute and Anne Elise Stratton, a postdoctoral researcher from the University of Hohenheim, Germany. A key highlight was Dr. Raman Babu of Corteva Agriscience, who provided insights into digital agricultural technologies in the Asia-Pacific region.
The event was marked by a series of lead talks, panel discussions, and presentations aimed at fostering collaboration between academia and industry to drive innovation in climate-resilient agricultural practices. Remarkably, these new measures will permit seamless integration into the existing course curriculums, requiring little to no substantial modifications.
