Students from Kerala Agricultural University participated in the Professional Students Summit, 2019 (PSS 2K19) held at Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) campus, on 10th Feb. 2019. PSS 2K19, a first of its kind of initiative by the Government of Kerala as a conclave of professional students from different streams (Medicine, Agriculture, Ayurveda, Homeo, Dental, Nursing, Pharmacy, Engineering, Veterinary, Fisheries, Management and Law). Around 2000 shortlisted students from different professional degree programmes in Kerala had participated in the summit.The main objective of the programme was to help the students to interact with eminent personalities and to learn more about the chosen field of study listening to the expert’s experiences. The prgramme was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Kerala, Sri. Pinarayi Vijayan.
From KAU, 50 students participated in the summit. Each stream of students had concurrent sessions with the experts. The students interacted with the stream experts and developed ideas for presentation before the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Kerala, other dignitaries and fellow participants in the plenary session (more than 2500 audience). Ms. AthiraVenugopal (COH) represented our University and presented the ideas developed from the interactions. The students were accompanied by Dr. Mani Chellappan (COH), Dr. Alan Thomas (COAV), Dr. Jamaludeen (COF), Dr. Veerakumar (CCBM), Dr. Rajesh (KCAET) and Mr. Abhijith(ACCER).
