International Women’s day celebration was organized at RARS Pilicode by the Internal Complaints Committee and the Staff Club on 8/3/201 at the Roof Top auditorium of RARS Pilicode. The function was presided over by Dr. T. Vanaja, Associate Director. Dr. Vanaja spoke about how gender concept evolved over centuries and how important is our family values in protecting the dignity of women. Adv. Sreeja Athrayil, the outside advocate member in Internal Complaints committee delivered a class on prevention of women harassment in work places; she also spoke at length about laws for protection of rights of girl child and women. She stressed the need to focus on family as everything begins from there and finally the society. She also reiterated the need to educate children on these values. This was followed by an interaction session on the topics covered. Dr. Meera Manjusha A.V., Chairperson, Internal Complaints Committee welcomed the gathering and Sri. Rajesh C.V., Secretary Staff Club offered the vote of thanks.
